Washington – U.S. Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) has teamed up with Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) to introduce the No Bailouts for Campus Criminals Act, aimed at preventing convicted pro-Hamas protestors on college campuses from having their student loans forgiven. The move comes amidst escalating antisemitic protests on campuses across the United States.

"I spent 40 years in education – our college campuses are not daycare facilities," said Senator Tuberville. "You have the right to protest in this country, but you do not have the right to riot, takeover public spaces, or threaten other students."

Senator Tuberville highlighted the unconstitutionality of Biden's student loan scheme, stating, "Taxpayers shouldn’t be forced to pay a cent towards other people’s loans – and they certainly shouldn’t pay the tuitions of these entitled criminals who are wreaking havoc on college campuses."

The No Bailouts for Campus Criminals Act has garnered support from a group of Senators including Marsha Blackburn, Ted Cruz, Mitt Romney, and others. Additionally, Congressman Brandon Williams is leading companion legislation in the House.

Senator Tuberville emphasized the need for law and order on college campuses, stating, "Senator Tuberville believes the antisemitism, riots, and lawlessness we are seeing on college campuses is very disturbing. People have the right to free speech in this country, but they do not have the right to riot or commit crimes."

The bill aims to address the concerning trend of antisemitism and criminal activities on college campuses. Senator Tuberville's strong stance on restoring law and order in the country is reflected in this legislative effort.
